Brahma Muhurta: The Creator’s Hour

Waking up early in the morning is not an unfamiliar concept to humans, but with time we have grown ignorant towards it’s importance and benefits. There is a very famous saying which I would quote again:

“Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.”

But how could a simple activity of waking up early give us health, wealth and wisdom all at once?!

Known as the “Creator’s Hour”; Brahma Muhurta (about 1 hour 30 minutes before sunrise) is the penultimate muhurta of night. Irrespective of one’s topographic location or time zone this hour falls between 2:00am – 6:00am and is the time to arise from sleep for preserving a wholesome lifespan.

“Creating Health”: Waking up early gives us sufficient time to practice the daily routine activities mentioned under Dinacharya for prevention of ailments and curing them which in turn promotes health and prolongs lifespan.

“Creating Wealth”: Predominant of Vata Dosha the body, mind & intellect are light and active during this time which sparks creativity, enhances one’s efficiency at work and thereby helps in generating more wealth.

“Creating Wisdom”: Being the time of Brahma or Gyana (knowledge), the mental functions of attention, concentration, retention and memory are at their peak during this time making it apt for perceiving knowledge and becoming wiser.

As Joel Achenbach said:

“Most geniuses are just talented people who get up really early in the morning”

So get out of bed early and kick start your journey towards becoming a genius!
